The International Academy of Dental Life Coaches (IADLC) is a professional organization dedicated to fostering a thriving, collaborative community of life coaches in dentistry.

Founded in 2022, our mission is to support and elevate dental life coaches by providing resources, education, and a network of like-minded professionals. We believe that coaches are stronger together, and through this shared growth, we can expand the impact of life coaching in the dental community.

At IADLC, we help life coaches:

Strengthen their coaching skills through ongoing education and mastermind sessions.
Grow their businesses with marketing insights, networking, and collaborative opportunities.
Connect with peers and mentors in a supportive, engaged community.

Through our collective efforts, we also aim to elevate the presence of life coaching within the dental profession, helping more dental professionals recognize its value in their lives and careers.

Meet the Founders

Dr. Eric Block

Dr. Eric Block is a full-time practicing dentist in Acton, Massachusetts, husband, and father of two kids who thought he would practice for 40 years– and love every minute of it. But halfway through his career, he suffered from tremendous burnout and anxiety and thought about leaving the profession. After reaching out for help, he learned how making significant mindset changes, so he could enjoy going to work again every day.

Seeing how much better life can be, he dedicated much of his work to improving mental health for dental professionals. He is the former Chairman of the Health and Wellness Committee for the Massachusetts Dental Society, a wellness ambassador for the American Dental Association, and author of The Stress-Free Dentist.

Dr. Laura Brenner

Dr. Laura Brenner thought dentistry would be her dream job, but she ended up trapped in the wrong career. While her life seemed great on paper, she felt completely unhappy and unfulfilled. Working with a career coach was a turning point that helped her change her mindset about what was possible in life. She left clinical dentistry behind and found her dream career as a career coach for dentists just like her.

After blogging for years about her career journey into and out of dentistry, she founded Lolabees Career Coaching in 2018 and the private Facebook group, Dentist Side Gigs. As a blogger, a coach, and a speaker, she loves to help other dental professionals design their lives and careers on their terms.

Because Eric and Laura understand firsthand the power or working with a life coach, they wanted to create a movement in dentistry that would support all dental professionals to have happier more successful lives. Knowing that Dental Life Coaches are the catalyst to creating this collective change, they developed the IADLC to build our life coaching resources. They handpicked this amazing group of Dental Life Coaches to become founding members to join their mission. Together, we want to uplift the coaches in dentistry, so we can create a ripple effect that will improve the overall well-being of the dental world, one person at a time.

She is an Orthodontist, Author, Motivational Speaker, and Host of The Business of Happiness Podcast– and a certified Trauma Informed Mindset Coach with a background in CBT, neurolinguistic programming, and Mind Magic.

Dr Alan Stern, founder of Better Richer Stronger, works with dentists who want to create a workplace that is productive & profitable and a life that is rewarding and meaningful. As a speaker, he redefines what it means to build a better team and rekindle their passion for what matters. Lani Grass, CPC

Lani has been a life and career coach since 2010. She founded WaveOfWomen.com to help women dentists identify their gifts, how they want to show up in the world, and to realize their potential. Lani is known for leadership coaching and her programs, Personal Brand Blueprint and Women of Influence in Dentistry. She and her husband also own a dental practice in Waco, Texas.
